Maria Altahona, DDS, MPH is a caring dentist who combines strong clinical skills with a warm, patient-focused approach. She began her dental journey in Cali, Colombia, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Wanting to continue growing and serving her community, she later moved to the United States to further her education and training.

Dr. Altahona earned her Master of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University and completed advanced training in general dentistry at the University of Florida. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and enjoys helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. She believes a beautiful smile is created through both careful skill and artistic detail.

Dr. Altahona speaks both English and Spanish fluently and takes pride in making sure every patient feels heard, comfortable, and well informed. She values clear communication and works hard to create a calm, welcoming experience at every visit.

Outside of the office, Dr. Altahona enjoys spending time with her family and staying active with outdoor activities. She looks forward to caring for patients and helping them feel proud of their smiles.

Dr. Lamontagne is an experienced general dentist who has been serving communities across Florida with compassion and commitment. A 2010 graduate of Howard University College of Dentistry, she is dedicated to reducing oral health disparities and shaping the future of the dental profession through both clinical care and advocacy. 

 Dr. Lamontagne is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Florida Dental Association, where she also contributes as a member of the Government Affairs Committee. Her involvement reflects a deep passion for advancing public policy and promoting equitable access to dental care. She provides comprehensive services including simple extractions and prosthodontics, always prioritizing patient comfort and long-term oral health. 

 Outside of the dental office, Dr. Lamontagne enjoys public speaking and mentoring future leaders, using her voice to empower others and inspire change in both healthcare and the broader community. 

Dr. Urgiles is a passionate and dedicated pediatric dentist committed to providing exceptional dental care to children and ensuring their dental experiences are positive. Dr. Urgiles is a South Florida native earning her Bachelors in Chemistry from Florida International Univesity. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University and completed her speciality in pediatric dentistry at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. This intensive program equipped her with the knowledge and skills to address the dental health needs of infants, children, adolescents and the special healthcare need population.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Urgiles firmly believes in making dentistry a fun and approachable experience for children and their families. She empowers young patients by involving them in their dental treatment decisions. She recognizes that children have a voice and that their comfort and preferences should be respected.

When not at the clinic, Dr. Urgiles enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring outdoor activities, and spending time at the beach. She believes that creating a positive and enjoyable environment extends beyond the dental office, and she encourages children to maintain healthy oral habits at home.

Dr. Scott Spencer graduated from Nova Southeastern University with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Upon graduation, he moved to western Pennsylvania to complete his orthodontic residency at Seton Hill University. There, he earned a certificate in Dentofacial Orthopedics and a Master of Science in Orthodontics. Dr. Spencer also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Turfgrass Science from the University of Florida, which continues to fuel his interest in horticulture.

Dr. Spencer is a member of the America Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Southern Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Spencer is also board-eligible, having passed the American Board of Orthodontics written exam.

A native Floridian, Dr. Spencer is happy to practice close to his hometown, Boynton Beach. He lives nearby with his wife, Heather, and their two boys, Cam and Blake. He enjoys coaching youth soccer and youth baseball. Dr. Spencer likes to fish and relax with his family in his spare time.

Dr. Mark Kogan is a board-certified, dual-degree Oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to providing compassionate, state-of-the-art care to his patients. He focuses on creating a calm, supportive environment by thoroughly educating patients about their treatment options and helping them make well-informed decisions about their care.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in New Jersey, Dr. Kogan earned his dental degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, where he graduated summa cum laude at the top of his class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honor Society. He went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Rutgers University, during which he also earned his medical degree from the New Jersey Medical School and served as Chief Resident in his final year.

Throughout his training, Dr. Kogan gained extensive experience using the latest surgical technologies and techniques to deliver effective, precise, and comfortable treatment. He also participated in multiple mission trips, where he developed valuable expertise in cleft repair and further strengthened his commitment to helping those in need.

Dr. Kogan’s surgical interests include wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, and full-mouth rehabilitation, benign pathology with facial reconstruction, TMJ disorders, nerve repair, corrective jaw surgery, and trauma surgery. He practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and tailors each treatment plan to the individual needs of his patients.

A firm believer in collaboration and innovation, Dr. Kogan incorporates advanced tools such as virtual surgical planning to achieve superior accuracy and outcomes compared to traditional methods. He is a proud member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Elona H. Covietz is an endodontist with extensive specialty training and over a decade of clinical experience. She completed her Advanced Education in Endodontics at NYU College of Dentistry, where she developed advanced expertise in modern root canal therapy, endodontic microsurgery, trauma management, and regenerative endodontic procedures. She earned her second Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, following her initial dental degree from Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic University in partnership with the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

Dr. Covietz’s professional background includes clinical practice in both the United States and abroad, with experience as a general dentist, endodontic educator, and adjunct professor. This breadth of experience allows her to approach complex cases with precision, compassion, and a strong commitment to evidence-based care. Fluent in English, Italian, and Albanian, with additional proficiency in Spanish, Dr. Covietz is able to provide exceptional care to a broad and diverse patient population.

Dr. Juan Mendoza is a highly respected periodontist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is known for his expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal (gum) disease, as well as in placing dental implants. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest quality of care and takes a personalized approach to treatment, ensuring that each patient’s unique needs and goals are met.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mendoza is actively involved in continuing education and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology and the Florida Dental Association.
